CAREER HISTORY:

 

1980—Present:  The Clayton Engineering Company, St. Louis, Missouri

 

Mr. Colvin was appointed President in April 1995 and is currently responsible for overall company operations.  He also manages and leads the planning and design of large civil engineering projects.  Examples of recent projects include The Legends, a 760 Acre Golf Course/Residential Community, Patriots Landing at Scott Air Force Base, a 300 Acre Housing Development for the Air Force and a 700+ Acre Industrial Park just West of the City of Eureka that is in the planning and preliminary approval stage at this time.

 

From 1989 to 1995 Mr. Colvin held the position of Vice President of Operations.  As such, he was primarily responsible for overall company project coordination and project management for residential and certain commercial projects.  Technical areas of expertise include design of streets, storm and sanitary sewers, water systems and grading.  He also provided design support for other project sections.  This design support has included hydraulic routing for detention reservoirs and flood plain studies, structural design of retaining walls, culverts, single and multi-span bridges and special structures.

 

From 1980 to 1989, Mr. Colvin acted as Residential Section Supervisor.  He directed six engineers, designers, and drafters in the design of large and small residential subdivisions.

 

1979—1980:  EA, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri

 

During this period Mr. Colvin served as both design engineer and manager for various industrial and commercial projects.  His responsibilities ranged from preliminary planning through design and construction management of projects.

 

1975—1979:  The Clayton Engineering Company, St. Louis, Missouri

 

During this period Mr. Colvin acted as a project engineer and was responsible for various residential, commercial, and public works design projects.  His responsibilities included design of streets, storm and sanitary sewers, water distribution systems, hydraulic routing studies, grading and structural design.
