CAREER HISTORY:
2005 — Present: The Clayton Engineering Company, St. Louis, Missouri Survey Coordinator
Instrument man and GPS crew for several large and small scale projects. Construction Calculation Survey Coordinator, interpreting plans from multiple disciplines for construction and layout. Receives and prepares as well as day to day managing and processing of new and lengthy construction projects. Also deals directly in Client/Contractor relations on site and in office, commercial and residential.
2004 — 2005 Southern Ditching and Excavating Grade Checker, GPS Crew Chief
Mr. DeSain was the head grade and elevation checker for Bridgeton Sports complex. Also, working as the one man GPS crew for site to equipment setup and large scale grading projects.
1998 — 2004 DeSain & Associates Survey Coordinator
Positions while working for the family business included: Survey Crew chief, GPS Survey Crew chief, and Survey Coordinator. Responsibilities also included training and educating employees in the fields of construction and land surveying. Other duties included performing calculations and estimates for construction projects from within the office, utilizing the resources of Terramodel and Microstation J. Mr. DeSain gained considerable experience while involved with federal mine land reclamation projects, MODOT highway and roadway construction projects, state funded levee projects, ALTA survey of the River Des Peres, various other Metropolitan Sewer District sewer projects, and field monumentation of the St. Charles County GRS network.
