Representative Projects:
Mehlville School District—In 2004 through 2006 we were part of the design team working with the Mehlville School District to implement a $70 million dollar tax levy that was passed by the school district residents a couple of years ago. The overall project included construction of several new facilities, major reconstruction of many existing, but outdated facilities, and construction of new athletic fields, parking lots and other amenities. This was a design build process with each building or facility being a separate design project within the overall district improvement effort. The same design team was used for the duration of the overall project with Clayton Engineering providing all of the site surveying and site design work. McCarthy acted as overall Construction/Project Manager. Dickinson-Hussman was the lead Architect.
Jefferson County R-7 School District—We are currently working with the Jefferson County R-7 School District as part of the team providing Master Planning services for a new High School Campus, including parking, athletic facilities and other amenities. As part of these efforts we are assisting the District as they explore various sites for the campus, preliminary design for each site and development of projected construction costs. Our work will concentrate on overall parking and traffic flow, grading, sewers and utilities. Once the District has determined which site is most cost effective, they will then put a proposed Bond Issue before the voters within the District for funding of the proposed campus. It is felt that by having chosen a site and being able to show the voters a plan of what will be built, a more favorable vote will be received. While we have not yet completed our studies and estimates, based on work with other District’s, we project construction costs to be in the range of $15-20 million. Dickinson Hussman is the lead Architect on this project.
